"Did a Catholic Holy Man Name Donald Trump’s Role in the 1980s?" by Steve Strang via Charisma News

What This Catholic Holy Man (pictured above) Prophesied about Donald Trump in the 1980s is Stunning; Is the Evidence of His Story Sealed Behind Vatican Doors?

Whether or not the prophecy is true, only time will tell. Whether or not this man’s story is true, one only has to look for the brick at the Vatican with Donald Trump’s name on it.

Steve Shultz[Steve Strang] If you’ve read Charisma or my newsletter, you’ve read about some of the pre-election prophecies that said God had raised up Donald Trump and he would win. I personally know four prophets who said this. I went out on a limb and reported this before the election, knowing if it didn’t happen, I would be embarrassed. But it did come to pass.

Recently, a friend sent me a story from the internet about a Roman Catholic priest that is so incredible I hardly know whether to believe it. Since we don’t run this type of article in Charisma, I decided to run it here. I am compelled to share it, if only to make you wonder if it might be true and if it’s one more confirmation—from a very different perspective—that God somehow raised up Donald Trump.

After the election, the remarkable prophecy came to light that a Catholic “holy man” named Tom Zimmer prophesied in the 1980s that “Donald Trump would lead America back to God.” Zimmer, who died on Sept 10, 2009, was known as the “Hermit of Loreto,” a town on the east coast of Italy. An American, he moved to Loreto in the early 1970s and lived there until 2008, when he returned to America to die. He was no ordinary Catholic. He co-authored the Pieta prayer book, which sold millions of copies, and is said to have attended Mass many times a day.

The month after Trump’s inauguration, an American priest named Giacomo Capoverdi posted a video on YouTube that tells this amazing story. A few weeks later, Catholic blogger Brett Thomas, Secular Order of St. Francis, wrote about it. He tells about the video and how the Rev. Capoverdi says he met the Hermit of Lorento.

Capoverdi said it was around 2000 when a friend of his, an Italian-American doctor named Claudio Curran, told him he had to meet this holy man. He took the train from Rome to Loreto the next time he was there, went to the basilica and saw an old man sitting on the floor hunched over in prayer at the “Holy House”—which Catholics believe was the home of Mary from Nazareth. Capoverdi seems to believe the story that, to save the house from being destroyed by Arabs during the Crusades, angels transported it to Loreto, now a place of Catholic veneration.

Capoverdi asked him in English if he was Thomas [Zimmer], and the two had a delightful conversation. When Trump was elected, Dr. Curran called and told him that, back in the 1980s, Tom Zimmer said he had received a “premonition” and that “a certain man would lead America back to God”—and that man would be none other than Donald J. Trump.

“The millionaire playboy from New York?” the incredulous doctor is said to have asked Zimmer.

“Yes,” the Hermit of Loreto responded, adding he was so sure Donald Trump would become a great spiritual leader of America that he wrote his name on a brick and had it placed in the reconstruction of St. Peter’s Holy Door after the Jubilee so Trump would receive blessings from the many Masses that would be said in the Vatican.

Thomas wrote: “After looking into Tom Zimmer, the ‘Hermit of Loreto,’ I have no reason to doubt Capoverdi’s statements that Thomas Zimmer communicated to his friend that he received a “premonition” that Donald Trump would “lead America back to God.” He then says what the Church says to do in order to determine whether a prophecy is true or false. First: Was the prophet a good and virtuous person? Zimmer was. Next, the prophecy must not contradict Scripture or Church doctrine. Here, too, “there is nothing Scriptural or in Church teachings that would suggest that a political leader cannot lead people to God; on the contrary, Scripture indicates it as a duty,” Brett writes.

Finally, Thomas says the prophecy must come true. And of course, there’s also the possibility of searching for the brick at St. Peter’s door with Donald Trump’s name on it—to see if Zimmer really left it there. It does seem extraordinary that a prayerful elderly man would have had such an intuition about Donald Trump as a future Christian leader when Trump was, indeed, living a life quite the opposite. Here we must wait and see if that happens, but I’m sure whether or not Trump leads America back to God will be open to dispute and interpretation. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"Shift Your Thinking and Advance the Kingdom!" Dr. Sandie Freed, Bedford, TX

Several days ago I heard the Lord say:

“My people are amid many different shifts. Some are shifting out from business into ministry. Some in ministry are shifting into marketplace ministry. Shifts are necessary during this season because I am imparting Kingdom mentality, which involves co-laboring with Me.

“I am not limited to the mindsets of My children. I am a God who is unlimited and I have thoughts beyond their thoughts. I have visions for them that they have not yet thought or dreamed of. To experience all that I have for them will require a shift out of their mindsets.

“The Kingdom dimension is not limited to the natural mind. Yet, the natural mind will abort the seeds being planted by the Holy Spirit concerning Kingdom reality. So, know that I am challenging mindsets even more in the coming days. What you thought was impossible must become potential.

“Look at the impossible as Kingdom potential and then expect it to become Kingdom reality. I am challenging My children to let faith arise! Don’t focus on what you see in the natural; lean not to your own understanding. I am removing the veil from the eyes of My people and empowering them to see realms of the supernatural.

Will we, today, remain stuck in an old pattern of thinking, or an old pattern of religious performance?

“They will overthrow the demonic structures of unbelief and rely on My grace to empower them to experience breakthroughs and demonstrate many miracles, signs and wonders. A new anointing for courage and boldness is being imparted to those who will cast off all restraints; as they trust Me and allow Me to lead them as they commit to co-laboring with Me in this new season.”

Defining “Mindsets”

I began pondering this word for several days. I kept thinking about mindsets. In fact, I just plain got stuck on that word…mindsets. I knew that God was giving strategy for breakthrough so I thought even more. What exactly is a mindset?

It’s more than setting our mind on something – it’s about something being set into our minds. I know…sounds confusing, right? Let me see if I can break this down a bit. Why do I feel a need to do that? Because we need to understand how hazardous it can be to have a wrong or ungodly mindset. That is, when it comes to understanding God and His ways.

A mindset can be both good and bad. If we set our minds on success, we are therefore choosing to focus on whatever is needed to become successful. If I set my mind on eating healthier, I can be tenacious and refuse sweets and unhealthy snacks. But, if I were taught incorrectly as a child and had a mindset that “all food is okay; just eat everything in moderation” then we can conclude that the mindset was unhealthy, right? So, then that wrong belief would have been set into my mind at a young age. If that unhealthy mindset remained, I would eventually become unhealthy because of eating junk food all my life.

Now let’s boil this down to where I really intend to take you: to talk about religious mindsets. Dear one, let me be blunt: religious mindsets can hinder your walk with the Lord and cause unbelief and block the flow of the supernatural in your life. (Photo via Flickr)

I have realized that Jesus came with an announcement that was completely unexpected. The Jews had a mindset that He would appear with an incredible military force and end the abuse they suffered from Rome. Their mindset involved an established “natural” form of government. If you think about it, Israel had completely lost sight of the power of the supernatural.

The supernatural realm was not what they desired to experience; they desired to focus on a “quick fix” for their pain in the natural realm. They could not embrace the fact that if they solved the problem in the supernatural realm that it would take care of their problems in the natural. As a result of their mindset, they missed their hour of visitation. Just think of all that would have been accomplished if they had received Jesus when He came as their Messiah!

The Powerful Message of Repentance

The mindset of the Jews hindered them from understanding the message of repentance. Matthew 4:17 presented the people with an announcement, “…Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” Jesus was introducing a whole new revelation concerning repentance.

Jesus came and made a proclamation concerning repentance. He pointed out that the manifestation of the Kingdom of God hinges on the message of repentance. He was and is talking about repentance as in turning from sin, but Jesus was also dealing with their mindsets. He was, in essence, saying:

“Hey guys, it’s important that you begin to change the way you think. Why? Because I brought My world with Me! Yes, I have brought My Kingdom with Me. And, I want you to change your perspective on reality. If you choose to see things from My perspective, you can experience and live from the reality of My world.”

In other words, Jesus was challenging them to bring Heaven to Earth. And that is the way that Jesus taught the disciples to pray. Praying Heaven to Earth, right?

Repentance is Connected to Experiencing Kingdom Reality!

Unfortunately, many of us today have had a mindset concerning the word repentance. Most Christians have repented enough to get forgiven, but not enough to see the Kingdom. Ouch! I was there about fifteen years ago.

I was so busy repenting from my “ugliness” (ugly heart attitudes, ugly actions, ugly sins, etc.) that I could never see that I was God’s daughter, a child of the King, and that I had been given power and authority to rule and reign! When Jesus taught on the Kingdom, He presented the message with a powerful mandate. In Matthew 10:7-9, we read how Jesus empowered His disciples with the Kingdom Mandate:

“‘The Kingdom of Heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”(Matt. 10:7-9 NIV)

Religious mindsets can hinder your walk with the Lord and cause unbelief and block the flow of the supernatural in your life.

Yes! They received power and now they had to give it away! We need to remember this important lesson: you only get to keep what you give away! However, how many of us have the mindset that we must hold on to everything?

It’s clear that the Kingdom message is opposite of that mindset. When I understood the fact that we are not to build our own kingdoms, but rather His Kingdom, it changed my perspective – it changed my life! I have learned that godly multiplication only occurs when we are consistently giving out. The mindset that we must hold onto what we have will rob potential Kingdom seed from being sown. Only true multiplication can come from sacrifice of giving in all areas of life.

A Wake-Up Call!

My heart is to not be harsh but to deliver a wake up call. We are not called to be a sleeping Church. We can no longer remain lukewarm concerning co-laboring with Him and promoting the Kingdom of God. Many Believers have a mindset that we are simply holding on until Jesus comes. No! We are not on the defense, we are on the offense. Get a mindset today that we are advancing! We are moving forward as a mighty army taking ground for Kingdom advancement!

Today, please shift into Kingdom reality. Develop an advancing attitude. Determine that you are not retreating but rather advancing! As we pursue this type of Kingdom mentality, know this for a fact: in Kingdom reality, disease cannot stay; poverty cannot stay; devastation cannot stay and shame cannot stay!

Remain determined that you are contending for this now! Some of you reading this may be struggling and need a divine healing. Some may have the mindset that it’s impossible to be sick and to pray for others to be healed. To believe this way is truly a mindset that will hinder the supernatural flow in your life. (Photo via Unsplash)

Let me just say that I have realized that is possible for me to walk in the gift of healing others, but still have disease in my own body. God will use my faith and my determination to see a realm of the supernatural if I will just step out and be His conduit. Remember, we are contending now for Heaven to come to earth! His will and not ours.

Co-Laboring Effectively

To co-labor effectively with God, there must be a complete dependence on His grace. This is what the Jews couldn’t get. They only understood serving God under the Law. It was a mindset that involved rules, laws and religious performance. What they couldn’t grasp was the understanding that true repentance required complete dependence.

They just couldn’t change the way they thought. Will we, today, remain stuck in an old pattern of thinking, or an old pattern of religious performance? There are unlimited possibilities available for us to grasp and experience. Let’s cast off all unbelief, all fear and fear of failure and begin to believe!

If you struggle with limitations and mindsets that limit you in your faith walk, I want to recommend two of my latest books, Letting Go of Your Limitations: Experiencing God’s Transforming Power and Faith After Failure: Reconnecting with Destiny.

Dear one, don’t allow your past to dictate your future any longer! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"How to Make the Prophetic Gift Safe for Your Community" by John E. Thomas, Dallas, TX

Maturing Prophetic People

The moment I got her on the phone, I knew something was wrong. I hadn’t seen her at church in weeks, and my concern grew as she began to tell me a story I wish was unique. Unfortunately I’d heard it before:
“I was in a meeting where someone was ministering prophetically,” she told me, “and I was amazed at the accuracy of what they shared. After the meeting he told me that God had showed him I was supposed to marry so-and-so. I was so angry that God would want me to marry him—I wasn’t attracted to him. I didn’t see him in that way. So I have been running from God. I am trying to ignore God because I don’t see Him as safe anymore.”
How do we respond to stories like this? The prophetic can be an amazing tool to help people grow and change, but it can also be a source of pain and difficulty. The issue is not the prophetic itself—it is the maturity of the people involved.
As leaders, how can we help shape prophetic people into mature, effective tools for the Kingdom—men and women who are safe for our spiritual communities?

Here are a few key points to consider:
• Encourage Community
Anyone who claims to be prophetic but is not involved in a local church is dangerous. The apostle John wrote that false prophets “went out” from the congregation—that is, they left the fellowship. We should never allow a prophetic person to speak into our lives if they are not in a church family.
• Place Character Over Gifting
When we celebrate gifting more than character, we run the risk of teaching people to be fascinated with the paranormal instead of obsessed with the beauty of Jesus. Someone who is actually spiritual (being used by the Spirit of God) will bear the fruit of the Spirit in their lives: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I want to celebrate a godly marriage that has lasted 30 years as much as I celebrate a person getting out of a wheelchair. I want to exalt someone who extends kindness to the least of these as much as I do someone who encounters heavenly realms.
• Teach and Train
All gifting starts in an immature state. Not only do we need to teach people how to recognize their gifts, step out in faith and trust God, but we also need to teach them what their gifts can look like when they reach maturity. A toddler or adolescent needs to stretch, try again and discover the extent of their strength, while an adult needs to learn when to withhold their strength. A mature individual understands the potential for harm that accompanies the potential for good.
• Value Scripture
Someone once said that too many people treat the Word of God the way an intoxicated person treats a light post: more for support than illumination. If we treat the Word of God this way, we won’t hear from Him consistently. As followers and lovers of Jesus, all of us need to spend more time in Scripture because this enables us to throw out many inaccuracies before they end up as heresy. Only the Bible can be our foundation. The prophetic is helpful for direction, encouragement and clarity, but it is not our foundation. The prophetic is shaped by the Word, not the other way around!
• Cultivate a Culture of Feedback
Part of the training process includes feedback. Was the word accurate? Did it sound and feel like Jesus? Did it carry the heart of a servant? Just because someone says, “God told me this,” doesn’t mean we have to accept their words as truth. All things must be tested. We hold on to what is good and throw away what is not (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
• Focus on the Giver
“We all get to play.” John Wimber made that phrase popular in the 1980s, and it still holds true today. Gifting says nothing about the person with the gift; it says something about the Giver. The Giver can give whatever He wants to whomever He wills (1 Corinthians 12:11). Gifting makes room for someone to serve, while character makes room for authority. We should never give someone authority merely because they are gifted. The requirements for someone in leadership haven’t changed (read 1 Timothy 5 and Titus 1 for more information).
• Hear and Obey
Hearing God’s voice is not meant for our entertainment; we are listening to God and if He speaks, we must obey. We need to learn how to order our lives around real relationship with Him, which requires communication, and responding to His voice no matter how He chooses to speak: through a dream, vision, angel, Scripture, our circumstances or another person. If it is God, we need to follow Him.
• The Outcome
If we can implement these simple elements in our church communities, we will start to see a mature prophetic expression rising. All of us need to learn to discern the voice of God for ourselves, value character over gifting and center our lives around His Word. That is how we become mature, gifted people who can bring His Kingdom and help shape others into Christlikeness. We have before us a wondrous goal. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"Simple Prayers Get Big Results" James W. Goll, Franklin, TN

A question I am often asked goes something like this, “Why does God need our prayers anyway?” Have you ever wondered why God seems so intent on having us pray for every single thing? Is He not sovereign and merciful and willing to take care of everything, whether or not His people ask Him each time?

Come to Papa Like a Trusting Child

Let’s develop this a little bit. In His goodness, He wants you to come closer to Him. The most straightforward way to do that is through our simple, confident praying. Like trusting children, we come to Papa. He supplies what we need in exactly the right measure. When we point to some other person’s need and say, “Papa, look over there. Would You help him/her/them, too?” He is quick to respond. Why? This is more than just a Q & A session. Prayer is an invitation straight from Papa God’s heart to ours to come into a greater intimacy with Him.

He likes it when we say, as His disciples did, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1). That happens to be a great prayer, because it is a sincere request about a very real need and it comes from a humble, childlike heart. I recommend that you do the same! (Photo via James Goll)

Children do not need an advanced degree in theology in order to feel confident about approaching their parents with questions or requests. Our petitions and prayers are not supposed to be part of a complex tool kit for Christian living. We should not need a detailed manual to know how to pray effectively. Our prayers are part of our daily conversation with our Father in Heaven. We ask Him for things, and we also express our gratitude for what He has done in response to our honest, childlike requests. Jesus did not make it complicated. Here is what He said:

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6, NIV.

Without Complexity!

Our prayers should be simple—there is no need to instruct the Father. This lack of complexity should be just as true for our minor personal requests as for sweeping global needs. In both cases, we are echoing the prayer of Jesus, “Your Kingdom come on earth as it is currently being manifested in Heaven” (see Matthew 6:10). We do not need to tell Him how to handle everything. He is God; He knows already. We just need to present the needs to Him.

We also need to come to Him often. “Look, Father! This burden is too great for me [or for So-and-So]. I’m bringing it to You. Please show me how to pray for it. What is Your heart toward this? Be my vision and give me revelation so that I can pray according to Your will.”

Recently, I was struggling with some very intense physical pain due to a failed disc surgery. The sciatic nerve pain was very intense and frankly, I was getting fairly worn out by the entire ordeal. So I rolled over in bed and reminded God of His Word. I prayed something like, “I heard that Your grace is perfected in weakness. Well, right now, I feel pretty weak, so I am asking You to extend great grace to me because I qualify according to Your Word.” I honestly just cast my cares upon Him and then attempted to simply go to sleep.

All prayers count. Just keeping on knocking!

That night I slept all night, which I had not done in days, and I woke up from comforting dreams in the morning. As the morning unfolded, I noticed that I was thinking clearly and was “bright.” I declared to God and myself, “I’m back!” Now I wish I had been totally healed, but I was strengthened, the brain fog lifted and I was ready for my next ministry assignment. God cares. He really does! And I am one step closer to my full healing!

We can present our needs—and the needs of others—to God with full confidence because He not only hears our prayers, He intends to answer them.

R.E. Miller—Revival Watchman for Argentina

In the early 1950s, an American missionary named R. Edward Miller was working in a small city in Argentina. He had been laboring for years without results and he felt he had tried everything he knew how to do—except sustained, concerted intercession.

Without telling the people in his congregation, he began to pray eight hours a day, asking God for revival in his own life and in theirs, as well as in the wider community. All by himself, he prayed and prayed, adding fasting to his regimen because he was so determined to get results.

After at least six months of dogged daily prayer, the Lord spoke one word to the tired missionary: “Continue!”

He kept praying for several more months. This was a one-man prayer watch.

Eventually the Lord spoke again. This time He told Miller to announce nightly prayer meetings at the church from 8:00 p.m. to midnight, starting the following Monday evening. Miller objected. “Lord, are You sure? If I hold prayer meetings, the only ones who come will be the little old ladies. And all they will do is sit and watch me pray.”

The Lord seemed to nod and say simply, “I know.”

Miller went ahead and announced a week of nightly prayer meetings. As he predicted, the only people from his congregation who showed up were three of the little old ladies. And, yes, all they did was sit silently and watch their pastor pray for four hours. At midnight, he asked if any of them had received a word from God. One of the women raised her hand and reported having had a strange desire to come up and knock on the wood table in the front of the sanctuary. That seemed too foolish to be a real word from God. They all went home for the night. (Photo via James Goll)

Next night, same thing. The same three ladies arrived, sat down, and did nothing but watch Miller pray his heart out for four hours. At the end of the evening, the same woman reported having the same sense about knocking on the wooden table. This was crazy. They adjourned for the night once again. The next two nights were exactly the same. The woman did not want to make a fool of herself, so she refused to knock on the table.

Miller wondered, “What if obedience to this strange instruction would turn out to be the key to something big?” The missionary tried to figure out a way to get the lady to at least try it out. It was the final night of the scheduled meetings. Again, only those three little old ladies came into the sanctuary to watch Miller pray. This time, when he found out that she had had the same impulse for the fifth night in a row, he said, “Sister, we’re all going to walk around the table and knock on it.” He figured that she couldn’t refuse to follow through if the rest of them were doing it.

He went first. He walked past the table and struck it with his hand. “Thunk.” The other two women did the same. “Clunk. Thunk.” Finally the third woman stepped up to the table and knocked her knuckles on it.

Our prayers should be simple—there is no need to instruct the Father.

Suddenly, the Holy Spirit came. The four of them were overwhelmed with the glory of the presence of God. On the spot, the three women were baptized in the Spirit, and they began to worship God in languages they had not learned.

The news spread fast, and more people began to join them in nightly prayer times. After everyone in the congregation had been touched by God, the revival spread to the capital city of Buenos Aires where eventually thousands of people gathered in an outdoor stadium in 1954. The great Argentine revival of the early 1950s had begun—all because one man watched and prayed and followed through to the best of his ability.

I have had the joy of telling this infamous intercessory story around the world and encouraging Believers everywhere, “All prayers count. Just keeping on knocking!”

You see; it is true. Simple, child-like prayers get big results!

"The Battle of the Roars! The Devil is Roaring But I Hear Our Roar of Intercession!" by Dawn Hill, Bristol, VA

Recently, I had the privilege to be a guest speaker on a prayer conference call. While preparing to minister, I heard the Lord speak to me about the roar of intercession being released within our nation. Since that time, I have heard in my spirit the low rumble of a roar as it revs up to release a crescendo of thunder, shaking the heavenlies, and the demonic powers wreaking havoc in our land. I am releasing this word to encourage the intercessors in our nation and the nations of the earth, and I want you to understand the power of your intercession and your position in this hour.

The Battle of the Roars

The authentic roar of intercession is right on time, coming in the midst of a counterfeit roar being released from the enemy’s camp in this hour. As happened earlier this year, I cannot recall a time when witches and warlocks have publicly announced the release of spells, curses and incantations against a President in this nation and the people who support him. There is a battle in the spirit realm, and we must stand our ground in prayer and intercession because our roar comes from the King of Judah.

It is imperative to understand the reality of counterfeit in the devil’s kingdom. He is not an original – he has merely copied the blueprints of the Master Architect. Witches and warlocks are the counterfeit version of intercessors. Authentic prayer warriors need not wring their hands in despair or tremble at the thought of facing off demonic powers in operation. Our weapons are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (see 2 Corinthians 10:4). We are equipped to battle skillfully and with precision by the Spirit of God.

Paul tells us in the Word that we are not to be ignorant of the devil’s devices (see 2 Corinthians 2:11). Ephesians 6:12 tells us that we do not wage war on flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. The devil likes to pretend that he is a lion, but he is an imposter. He cannot devour those who know and use their authority in Christ. Intercessors, now is the time to press in and upward with your prayers and the Word of God with greater fervency and tenacity.

The Roar Released From Authentic Incense

If we, the Church, would get a revelation of intercessory prayer and the magnitude of its reach, we would give ourselves over to its position more readily. Psalm 141:2 says, “May my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.” Incense is a symbol of the prayers and intercession of the people going up to God as a sweet fragrance. Luke 1:10 shows us the correlation between prayer and incense as the multitude prayed outside at the hour of incense while Zechariah offered incense in the temple.

The priests in the Old Testament were to offer incense upon the altar of incense twice daily, and they were to keep it burning continuously so that a pleasing aroma was always before the Lord. Furthermore, only authorized incense could be offered on the altar (Ex. 30:9), and it was not to be used outside the temple by the people or they would be cut off. The incense offered consisted of three rare spices in equal parts: stacte, onycha and galbanum. Of all the spices listed, onycha stood out to me. The original Hebrew word for onycha is linked to a Hebrew word meaning, “to roar as a lion”.

My spirit leapt when I read about onycha because I knew it was speaking to us even now. The roar of intercession has a fragrance, and it has a sound that will not be denied. It is authorized incense before the presence of God brought to the Lord by His priests, His intercessors. Your prayers may not sound like much to you, but in the spiritual realm, they are violently opposing the devil and, they are pushing back the darkness.

The Power of Pure Prayer

I am telling you, the devil may be roaring right now, but he hears the sound of intercession rising in the land, true intercession and authentic incense, and he is scared. The roar is going forth into the territories for miles on end, and it is a warning: “You are in God’s land, devil, the real Lion’s den, and you are not welcome.”

To the intercessory prayer warriors: I hear the roar of intercession erupting from prayer closets and ascending to the throne room. Angels are standing ready to be dispatched, and the Lord is engulfed in the sweet fragrance produced from your intercession and worship. Intensify the onycha of intercession – the Lion’s roar. The counterfeit does not stand a chance against the release of the authentic.

Be unrelenting and do not be intimidated by the schemes and the counterfeit roar of the enemy. He hears the roar of the Lord resounding from you for miles away while his roar falls to the ground in defeat. Never stop releasing the fragrant incense of prayer before the Lord. Prayer aligned with the Word of God changes the course of human history. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

“Chuck Pierce Releases Shocking Prophetic Word Recently in Washington DC!”
by Jim Bakker and Ramiro Pena via Charisma News

Recently on the Jim Bakker show, Pastor Ramiro Pena shared an astounding prophetic word given by Chuck Pierce while with other leaders in Washington DC.

Here is a a transcribed excerpt of Jim Bakker’s and Pastor Ramiro Pena’s interview regarding Chuck Pierce’s prophecy:

Pastor Ramiro Pena shares:

“We were praying together with a few others – Dutch Sheets, Cindy Jacobs, we were praying together in Washington, we were at the White House and Chuck prophesied that, and this was about a month ago, that we were going to have 10 months of struggle and difficulty and even war, struggle, in the White House, or at the White House, followed by three years of great success and progress. So the fact that we’re struggling is no surprise and the Scripture says don’t be surprised when you are beset by various trials and tribulations (1 Peter 4:12).

“Chuck specifically prophesied 10 months of struggle, followed by 3 years of great success. So we’re pressing into that!

It also gives me great hope! That we’re going to struggle and pound away but we’re going to see breakthrough because I think our president has a ‘breaker anointing’ on him to break the establishment and drain the swamp.

“That’s who God wanted in this hour – a rough and tumble leader.”

Jim Bakker:

“Who else could drain a swamp? There’s alligators in the swamp – so you have to have a fighter.”

Pastor Ramiro Pena:

“He maybe rough and tumble, but that’s what we need right now. We don’t need to elect a national pastor, we need a chief executive to right the ship and that’s what I believe he’s doing right now.

And he deserves our prayers and our support. I can’t say it enough ‘Pray.’ Don’t just talk about praying for the president, pray for the president! Pray, pray, pray!” (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

"Partnering in Authority – Who is Ruling Your World?" by Dutch Sheets, Dallas, TX

Who is ruling your world?

This question is vital to understanding our authority in prayer. But before we can apply the principle of authority to prayer, it is important to fully understand the meaning and purpose of authority itself.

The understanding of authority dives straight into the question, “Who’s in charge?” It’s a question that has been at the heart of conflict since the beginning. Even now, your outer world fights to have authority over you on a daily basis. It might be your job, or your family, your finances, or something completely different altogether. Whatever the case, living in bondage to your external world was never God’s intention for you. You have been called to live under the rule of Christ, and consequently, to rule and reign over the earth in partnership with Him.

This principle is a governmental issue. To govern means “to influence, to exercise authority, to stand in superiority”. This means when we pray with authority, we are interceding in a governmental capacity. And this idea of governmental authority is found throughout the Bible. From before the Garden of Eden, the question of “Who will rule?” has been an integral part of the conversation. Lucifer asked this question when he tried to exercise authority over God, and it was the beginning of a struggle that we still face today – good or evil, life or death, truth or deception.

While we know God is ultimately victorious over satan, He has still given us the opportunity to triumph over evil on a personal basis, so that we can partner with Him, governing the earth in truth and righteousness. You were created with a nature to do just this. We are called to reign in life through Jesus Christ. In Romans 5:17, the word “reign” speaks of ruling as a king or queen.”

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9, NASB). We have been chosen to reign with Him. It is our responsibility to learn to have authority in prayer and to exercise governmental intercession.

The degree to which you allow Christ into your inner world is the degree to which you will have authority over your outer world. In Acts 19, the Sons of Sceva (seven sons of a Jewish high priest) intended to exercise the authority of Jesus over those who were afflicted by evil spirits. They would try to cast out the darkness “by Jesus whom Paul proclaims…and the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?” (Acts 19:13, 15). They tried to use the authority of Christ without surrendering their lives to Him first, and their prayers were rendered completely ineffective.

In the same way, your life will be a clear indicator of the depth of relationship you carry with Christ. Do you walk in peace and joy, or are you as stressed out as unbelievers around you? Is your family thriving? Are you living a lifestyle of prayer, or do you simply speak of its power from a distance?

Having authority over darkness and despair is in your spiritual DNA. You were made to have life more abundantly, through Jesus, living in victory over those things that seek to steal, kill, and destroy you (John 10:10). Satan will do everything he can to hinder your assignment, and it is up to you to recognize his plan and overcome the works of the enemy – not just saying that you are an overcomer, but living a life that is spilling over with the evidence of the authority and power you carry.

As you dive into the idea of authority over that which seeks to rule you, be challenged – take some time to examine your private world – your thoughts, your actions, your words. Decide if these things reflect the nature of your identity as a son or daughter of the King. As you move in this personal level of authority, you will be amazed to see how much He blesses your authority over your extended world – your home, your job, your finances. And, as is the ultimate goal, you will begin to partner with Him on a level you perhaps never dreamed possible, exercising influence and authority in your universal world. It’s important to know that not only does He want you to partner with Him; He needs your partnership to accomplish His purposes on the earth. (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
